Terms and conditions

These terms apply to the ThreadCAD app and this website. By installing or using ThreadCAD you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Contact: sharathnaik89@gmail.com.

1. The app

ThreadCAD lets you create, edit and export embroidery designs on your phone. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from (Google Play or the Apple App Store). For apps downloaded from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

2. Your designs

• You own the designs you create. We claim no rights to them and never receive them; they are stored on your device.
• You are responsible for having the right to use any logo, picture, lettering or embroidery file you import, digitize or sell. Do not use ThreadCAD to copy trademarks or artwork you are not allowed to use.
• Keep your own backups. Deleting the app or losing your device deletes projects that are not backed up.

3. Free features and ThreadCAD PRO

The free version includes the core design tools, up to 3 projects and DST and PES export. ThreadCAD PRO unlocks additional features, as described in the app at the time of purchase. PRO is offered as:

• PRO Monthly: an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Google Play or App Store account when you confirm the purchase. It renews automatically each month unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your store account settings; cancelling stops future renewals, and PRO stays active until the end of the paid period.
• PRO Lifetime: a one-time purchase that unlocks PRO for as long as the app is offered, tied to your store account. Use Restore purchases in Settings on a new device.

Prices are shown in the app and the store before you buy, in your local currency. Payments, refunds and cancellations are handled by Google or Apple under their policies; we cannot issue refunds directly. We may change PRO features or prices for future purchases; changes never affect a period you have already paid for.

4. Machine files and sewing results

ThreadCAD reads back and checks every file it exports against the machine and hoop you choose. However, embroidery results depend on your machine, its settings, fabric, stabiliser, thread, needle and hooping, which we do not control, and machine specifications published by manufacturers can be incomplete. Always test-sew a design on scrap fabric before sewing on a garment or running production. We are not responsible for damaged garments, materials, thread, needles or machines, or for lost production time.

5. Acceptable use

Do not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, bypass PRO features or purchase checks, or use the app to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.

6. Third-party services

The app uses Google Play or the App Store for purchases, RevenueCat to confirm purchases, Firebase for optional usage and crash reports, and downloads helper files from Hugging Face. Their own terms apply to those services. See the privacy policy for what data they receive.

7. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent allowed by law, including fitness for a particular purpose and that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or materials. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for ThreadCAD PRO in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Ending these terms

You may stop using ThreadCAD at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously break these terms. Sections 2, 4, 7, 8 and 10 continue to apply after that.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live. Before any formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; if a change is significant, we will say so in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
